What garments can be embroidered?

There are many products where you can choose to have a logo embroidered or printed, like t-shirts. However, some fabrics, especially those used for protective workwear and high-visibility clothing, cannot be embroidered. For these items, a printing method is needed to add a logo.

Complex designs

We aim to showcase your logo in the best possible way, which is why we will always collaborate with you to carefully review your submitted design before proceeding with any production.

This is primarily because the chosen customization method often relies on the specific design. For instance, digital printing allows for larger print areas with intricate designs, unlike embroidery.

Although our embroidery machines can stitch up to 15 colors in a single logo for detailed designs, if you want a full-size print that covers the entire back of a t-shirt, it’s more practical to choose printing. Embroidery is better suited for smaller to medium-sized logo applications.

Should I choose print or embroidery?

The Pros and Cons of Embroidery

When choosing embroidery to customize workwear, you select a method known for its durability and polished look. Since the embroidery threads are sewn directly into the fabric, they create a robust connection that withstands the effects of regular washing and wear. This results in a design that remains visually appealing over time.

Advantages:

  • Longevity: Your embroidered designs will prove to be durable. The combination of thread and needlework endures the challenges of everyday use and frequent washing.

  • Quality Perception: Embroidery often conveys a sense of high-end branding. The raised threads provide a tactile quality that suggests greater value.

  • Texture and Dimension: The three-dimensional aspect of embroidery adds richness to your designs, helping logos to stand out.

Disadvantages:

  • Design Complexity: Detailed designs with fine elements or gradients may not translate effectively into stitches. Embroidery has limitations in capturing the nuances of intricate artwork.

  • Expense: A higher stitch count can lead to increased costs.

  • Fabric Limitations: Heavily embroidered pieces may not be appropriate for very light or delicate fabrics, as the weight of the stitching can distort the material.

The Pros and Cons of Printing

When you choose printing to enhance your textiles, you adopt a technique known for its vibrant colors and ability to handle detailed designs. Printing delivers a crisp finish, even with complex patterns or gradient hues.

Advantages:

  • Flexibility: Prints can be applied to a diverse array of materials and clothing types.

  • Color Variety: Printing provides access to a wide range of colors, allowing for intricate and eye-catching designs.

  • Detail: It enables the creation of more complex and detailed graphics, which may not be achievable with embroidery.

Disadvantages:

  • Longevity: Printed designs might not endure as long as embroidered ones, raising concerns about durability.

  • Fabric Compatibility: Some fabrics may not be suitable for printing, potentially leading to lower quality results or quicker wear.

  • Variable Costs: Although printing is generally more affordable, prices can fluctuate based on the printing technique and order size.

Which Method Lasts Longer, Embroidery or Printing?

Embroidery is usually more durable than printing. The stitching forms a strong connection with the fabric, allowing it to withstand frequent washing and everyday use without fading or coming off.

Can I use both embroidery and printing for one item?

Yes, you can mix embroidery and printing on one piece of clothing. This method lets you use the texture and depth of embroidery for some parts, while printing works well for detailed or colorful designs.

How to Choose Between Embroidery and Printing?

Choosing between embroidery and printing for your logo depends on a few things like how complex the design is, what material your garment is made of, and how you plan to use it. Embroidery works best for a professional look and high-quality results, while printing is better for detailed designs and is usually cheaper for larger orders.
